Roof Washing in Hampton, VA

Mr. and Mrs. Bartels contacted me to have their homes roof soft washed. Upon inspection of their roof, I found several black streaks or gloeocapsa magma (algae) growing on several areas on the roof. They were very concerned about the plants in their flower beds. They did not want them damaged. I explained our property protection process to them. We shower the plants with fresh water during the entire process of cleaning the roof. We also cover extremely sensitive plants with a house wrap which is more breathable than a tarp or plastic, which can actually wilt the plants if they get to hot.

I applied our industry approved cleaning solution to the roof and allowed it to dwell. As a result the black streaks turned to brown or disappeared altogether. I explained to them, I would not be rinsing the roof due to the plants in the flower beds. I explained to them once Mother Nature provides us two to three good rains all the light brown marks (dead algae) would rinse right off the roof. As an added bonus we cleaned the exterior of the gutters, the soffits, and the windows removing all the algae, cleaning solution and spider webs from the surfaces.

Mrs. Bartels was excited to see the end results. She stated it looked much better already.
